( It was the summer of 2010... )

Very soon there will be talk of new music, new costumes, new elements and programs...the beginning of a whole new season. But this past competative figure skating year was a good one for Scott and Tessa, and Meryl and Charlie, to put it mildly. It was wildly successful--there. So can you blame me for feeling nostalic about it already?

( a year to remember )

I seem to read a lot more in summer than at any other point during the year. I'm on break from school, so I have more time, I guess. I also think it has something to do with the fact that I'm not not a beach-y type person and like to sit on the porch at dusk, drinking some lemonade, reading that novel I've been meaning to get to...

Yes, Serena's creepy dad was outed as a fraud (did Lilly even look sick, I ask you?). Yes, Little J put one of the final stilettos in her coffin. And yes, yes the Dan/Serena of it all.

BUT DID YOU SEE NEXT WEEK'S PREVIEW?!?!?!?!?!

*claps giddily* As if the promise of An Affair to Remember/Sleepless In Seattle-esque rendezvous at the top of the Empire State Building wasn't swoon-worthy enough, we're going to get a proposal of some sort. It's still the Upper East Side, so of course there will be punching involved. (Sorry, Sweater Boy, but you don't stand a chance against Chuck Bass.)

Know what's even better? I knew it. I didn't mention it and tried not to think about it because I didn't want to jinx it, but I knew it! Before the whole Jack thing, I could feel it coming. And now I cannot wait for the finale!!
